Description:

A wide mouth-blown glass vase/lantern with stepped form and pleated texture. Two tonal lusters are applied by hand to create a subtle dual-tone effect. The iridescent colors and textured finish take inspiration from the facets of polished gems.

Materials & making:

The vase/lantern is mouth blown by skilled glassblowers, making impressions in the glass while it is still molten to create a textured surface. The rim of the vase is cut and polished to achieve a smooth finish. Two lustres are painted separately by hand onto the body of each piece, carefully applied with precision to create a dual-tone finish, before firing at a high temperature.

Care:

Handwash in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth.
